Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Style Eat system work?
Style Eat is the core mechanic of Stupid Never Dies. As Davy, you can bite enemies to consume their monster cores, which temporarily grants you that enemy's form and abilities during a run. Each Style has unique movesets, strengths, and weaknesses. You can switch between Styles you've collected during a run to adapt to different combat situations.
How many Styles are there in Stupid Never Dies?
There are 11 Styles in total: Zombie, Werewolf, Harpy, Golem, Vampire, Will-o'-the-Wisp, Cyclops, Snow Fairy, Merfolk, Lich, and Demon. Each Style offers a completely different playstyle, from melee rushdown (Werewolf) to ranged harassment (Harpy) to summoning (Lich).
Can I switch Styles during combat?
Yes, you can switch between Styles you've collected during a run on the fly. This allows you to adapt to different enemy types and combat scenarios dynamically. For example, you might start with Werewolf for crowd control, then switch to Harpy for aerial advantage against a tough enemy.
What is the best Style in the game?
Based on community tier estimates, the S-tier Styles are Werewolf (speed-based melee), Will-o'-the-Wisp (ethereal evasion), Snow Fairy (ice sword with scaling damage), and Demon (whip and gravity control). However, the best Style ultimately depends on your playstyle and the situation. Experiment with all of them to find what works best for you.
Is Zombie Style the weakest form?
Zombie Style is Davy's default form and is estimated as B-tier. It has basic unarmed melee attacks, making it a solid foundation form. However, its true purpose is to initiate Style Eat — you're meant to quickly consume a monster core and transform into a more powerful Style. Think of it as a starting point rather than a combat mainstay.
How do I unlock new Styles?
You unlock new Styles by using the Style Eat ability (bite) on different enemy types during a run. Each enemy type corresponds to a specific Style. Once you've consumed a monster core, that Style becomes available for the remainder of your current run. Experiment with biting different enemies to expand your tactical options.
